Privacy

Two different things: the app on your device, and this website.

The app

The app runs entirely on your device. There is no account to create, no email address collected, and no payment details stored by the app itself. Nothing you type in, and no photo you add, is sent to a server we control.

On Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac), your data can sync between your own devices through your own private iCloud container. That container belongs to your Apple ID, not to us, and we cannot read it.

On Android, the mechanism is different: Auto Backup for Apps backs your data up to your own Google account and restores it on a new device or after a reinstall. That is backup and restore, not live sync between two devices used at the same time, but the same rule applies: it is your account, and we cannot read it.

On Windows, data stays on that device, with no backup or sync yet.

This website

As of August 2026, thelongviewapp.com is static pages. It sets no cookies of its own, and runs no analytics or tracking scripts.

The hosting provider keeps standard server logs, the kind almost every website keeps (things like IP address, requested page and timestamp), to operate the site and watch for abuse.

This section describes the site as it stands today. If that changes, for example if an analytics tool is added later, this page will be updated to say so at the same time.
